Dr. Hernandez advocates for the transition from "safe spaces" to "brave spaces," arguing that true collectivism requires addressing internalized oppression and systemic racism. They talk about working toward a shift in preventative strategies and community-led solutions to dismantle cycles of mass incarceration and poverty.
